It all started with a chameleon…

Digital agency Varias’s mascot represented in their entire visual language from logo to website and external communication.

With their new growth strategy however, they were in need of a new visual language to represent their mission. This is where we jumped in.

Clarifying
the vision

When I joined Varias I joined the company’s mission of reinventing the management structure within its organization.

By translating the company’s concrete approaches into a visual language we aimed to communicate Varias’s vision for change within the company

Defining characters

The next step was exploring ways to portray the characters to represent the vision of Varias. Diversity and ambiguity were some of the characteristics chosen as guidelines for the designs.

Hivebrain to Scalable brain

Because the term hivebrain was not consistent with the vision, a term was developed that better captured its essence: to facilitate an interaction of sharing and connection that is endlessly scalable within and beyond the organization.
The Scalable brain was born.
